NHF BDC Travel Scholarship Application

Thank you for your interest in joining the West Virginia Hemophilia Foundation and others from the bleeding disorder community for the National Hemophilia Foundation Bleeding Disorder Conference! The conference is a great opportunity to meet other community members, attend enlightening educational sessions of all types, and a final night event that is always fun for the whole family.

WVNHF is offering an educational participant grant for members with a bleeding disorder within the service area, attending NHF's Bleeding Disorders Conference. We would like to provide assistance to those unable to attend due to personal obstacles or other barriers. Awards will be based on these factors, as well as on need. Scholarship recipients will be determined through an equitable selection process conducted by a volunteer review team. Members must have someone directly affected with a bleeding disorder in their household. Scholarships will be announced at a later date.

Deadline to apply is March 31st

The grant is a reimbursement scholarship with a maximum reimbursement rate TBD. Scholarships will be prioritized to families/individuals who have not attended before.

Grants may be used to cover the following:

  • Airfare or mileage
  • Hotel, for a maximum of three nights
  • Registration Fee
  • Meals are not reimbursable, most meals are sponsored at the conference
